Philip Hayes – The Picket
The Picket is one of our favourite venues in Liverpool. Established in 1986 to provide social relief during the recession, The Picket has always been about providing a wide range of great music for the people, especially the youth. With a history of celebrity musicians pledging funding and support to the venue over the years, we interviewed Phil Hayes the founder, to talk about working with great musicians over the years such as Pete Townsend & Elvis Costello, how musical diversity is works so well in the venue & what the dry bar gigs for under 18s are all about.
