Icon and gesture based communication of the portable radio’s functions.
Overview
This was a competition submission to a brief set by the Audi design foundation.The task was to create an example of communicating a concept visually without the use of words.
I chose to create a laminated instruction card for a weather proof wind-up emergency radio. The device appealed to me through notions of both the impact of the wind-up radio in Africa as well as its possible use as an emergency device in severe storms.
So a non-lingual, worldwide accessible, weatherproof instruction sheet was the end result.
