Band in a Box Live is back & even better event than ever before. Not satisfied with running events that included high quality filming and presentation, the team got together to come up with an all new format. So what has changed? Well for starters we have changed venue and Liverpool’s o2 academy is we held our brand new event.

As well as Liverpool, Sheffield and Birmingham are already booked for May and June respectively. We are still filming our events using 3 HD cameras and an experienced film crew and still offering great live film packages to all bands looking for additional promotion material. But to make our event really stand out amongst the crowd is the prize we have on offer. One band on the night will win a FULL SCALE MUSIC VIDEO written, produced and directed by us. This is the most lucrative prize we have at our disposal, and is something most bands simply cannot afford in normal circumstances. As far as we aware no company has ever set up an event like this with such a premium prize on offer.

This young, energetic 4 piece have a vibrant sound with some fantastic harmonies complimenting there unique style. Their talent is evident on stand out track Soley Road which is reminiscent of the late 60’s and the Beatles revolution.

With an array of quality songs at his disposal, this young man is moving in one direction and that’s upwards. He’s gained his reputation through hard work and some stand out performances, whether that be with his full band or solo acoustic shows. Check out “To leave you”, an absolute belter of a tune.

A band who just know how to produce wonderful melodies and sing along songs. Stand out track is “Absolute youth”, capturing the essence of summer and has a real feel-good factor about it.

You only have to listen to “Don’t tell your mother” to hear the talent within this band. Plus if anyone else can find a better designed t shirt than what they have please do let us know!

You will be rubbing your eyes in disbelief once this great band takes to the stage. How they produce such amazing music for a band so young defies logic, but that’s what they do time and time again. Not your average pop band, no way. These guys Rock, and they do it with a swagger and conviction that would put most bands to shame. A fitting band to headline this Sundays event.

So there you have it, the line up has some of the best bands Liverpool has to offer and we believe we have one of the best events in the making. All that is needed now is you, the fan of music to get yourself down to the o2 this Sunday and support your favourite band.

With a recently stabilised lineup of musicians the Bo Weevils are a solid quartet from Merseyside who boast a high octane performance with an attitude suitable for a Guy Richie film. Taking their influences from blues and soul music combined with the essence of britpop. The band are distinctly unique, not to mention they have their lead vocalist on drums.

Fourteen years after rising to widespread critical acclaim with the album Moseley Shoals, Ocean Colour Scene are back with their eighth studio album Saturday.

Ocean Colour Scene are one of Britpop’s finest and were one of the biggest bands in the UK throughout the 90’s, singles such as The Riverboat Song & The Day We Caught The Train catapulted them to chart success in ’96 to which the band have never looked back.

Currently on tour with their new material Band In A Box TV met up with frontman Simon Fowler to chat about being back on the road, how the new material is being received and what the plans Ocean Colour Scene have for 2010.

We met The Sunshine Underground during their UK tour at the O2 Academy in Liverpool.

We catch up with two members of the band and discuss their heritage, the tour and the new album.

Their debut album Raise The Alarm was completed in May 2006 and released in August 2006.

In November 2008, after several months of non-activity, the band posted several new demos on their MySpace page titled ‘Malibu’, ‘Epic’, ‘Darktime’, ‘Animals’ and ‘An Introduction’. It was stated by the band that none of these songs would make their second album.

They recorded a song with FC Kahuna named “From The City To The Sea” which was made public and free for download in February 2009. It was released as a free download because it differed too much from the other songs to make it on the album. The song takes a sample from the Aphex Twin track Windowlicker.

Nobody’s Coming To Save You is the second album from the band and was released on the 16th of February 2010.
